ROCHESTER - Edna E. Smith, 95, of 2119 Boulevard St., Rochester, died at 6:06 a.m. Feb. 21, 2009, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in London, Ky., to Benjamin H. and Gracie Nolan Cheek. She married John L. Mooney, who died in December 1945. She then married John F. Smith, who died in October 1982.

She retired from Chamberlin Products, Akron, and attended Whippoorwill Community Church, Rochester.

Surviving are two daughters, Cleda Janke, Indianapolis, and Faye (and spouse Max) Grubbs, Warsaw; a son, Jim (and spouse Nancy) Mooney, Rochester; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred (and spouse Linville) Gray and Martha (and spouse Ernie) Venable, all of Eaton, Ohio; and a brother, Charles (and spouse Martha) Cheek, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by two daughters, three sisters and six brothers.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Brian Sewell officiating, and Thursday at House-Rawlings Funeral Home, London, Ky. Burial will be in Bruner Cemetery, London.

Calling is from 4 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home.
