He was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to Frank and Jennie Wilson Brader. On Dec. 6, 1947, in Wilkes-Barre, he married Honor Davies, who survives.
Living most of his life in Pennsylvania, he moved to Warsaw in 1992. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was honorably discharged in 1947. He was a welder for Foster Wheeler Inc., Mountain Top, Pa., retiring in 1984.
He was a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw.
He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He also loved gardening, going for long walks and he had a passion for baking all kinds of breads.
Also surviving are a son, Frank Brader, Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Nancy (and spouse Tom) Hughes, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Jeni Streeter and Becky Skeans, both of Warsaw; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Warsaw, with the Rev. Corrine Hodges officiating. A private burial will be at a later date in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, Pa.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
