She was born Dec. 11, 1944, in Claypool to William and Annie Shepherd Reed. On June 17, 1985, in Warsaw, she married James A. Glant.
She worked as a QMA at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, for 43 years, retiring in 2010. She attended the Church of Christ, Warsaw.
Surviving are six sons: William Gene (and spouse Catherine) Poe, Mentone, Joe Edward Poe, Kentucky, Ronald Lynn (and spouse Andrea) Poe, Packerton, Steven Lee Poe, Wakarusa, Charles Allan (and spouse Dawn) Poe, Silver Lake, and Jeffery (and spouse Erica) Reed, Bristol; one daughter, Shelly (and spouse Carson) May, Palestine; three sisters: Mary (and spouse Henry) Miller, Warsaw, Pamela (and spouse Okie) Hall, Packerton, and Margaret (and spouse Doug) Wylie, Niles, Mich.; one brother, David (and spouse Sandra) Reed, Silver Lake; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Carolyn Ann Poe.
A graveside service honoring the life of Edith M. Glant was this morning at Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.

The family has asked that gifts in Edith’s memory be given to a charity of the donor’s choosing or that simple acts of kindness be done for others.
