He was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Atwood, to Boyd Clark and Emma M. Smith Leedy. On Sept. 2, 1939, he married Orpha H. Davis, who died Nov. 11, 1988. On July 28, 1989, he married Mary Mildred Gross Bauer, who survives in Zionsville.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and farmer, retiring in the mid-1980s. He was a member of North Winona Church of the Brethren and developed Hickory Estates subdivision in 1976.
Also surviving are a son, Jerry D. (and spouse Nancy) Leedy, Muriel Inlet, S.C.; two daughters, Sandra (and spouse Stephen) Yant, Cedar Bluff, Ala., and Betty (and spouse Edgar) Orpurt, Roann; five grandchildren: Todd (and spouse Jan) Martin and Terry (and spouse Sara) Martin, both of Warsaw; Troy (and spouse Viki) Martin, Pierceton; Amy (and spouse Chris) Mulkey, Fort Wayne; and Marcia (and spouse Bill) Tucker, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Leedy, and a sister, Mary Hand.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
