NORTH WEBSTER – Earl John “E.J.” Campbell Jr., 57, of North Webster, died May 12, 2012, in his home.

He was born April 22, 1955, in Bloomington, Ill., to Earl John and Betty Jean Crawford Campbell.

He attended Bloomington High School, attended Lake Land College, Mattoon, Ill. and was a United States Marine serving from 1972 to 1974. He moved to Indiana about 20 years ago from Illinois. He formerly worked at the American Legion Post 253, North Webster, where he also was a member.

Surviving are four daughters: Mikel Campbell, Tobey Campbell, Anrika (and spouse Brad) Dithen, all of Bloomington, Ill., and Tessy Campbell, Florida; a son, Jonathon Campbell, Bloomington, Ill.; his father and stepmother, Earl and Delores Campbell, Bloomington, Ill.; a sister, Percy (and spouse Etta) Buckley, Bloomington, Ill.; a brother, Frank (and spouse Margaret) Campbell, Stanford, Ill; four half sisters, Dolly Wilmoth, Tina (and spouse Jeromy) Bush, Cheryl (and spouse Larry) Mays, all of Bloomington, and Jackie Sterling, Michigan; a half brother, Jimmy (and spouse Jennifer) Hoag, Auburn; two stepsisters, Velda (and spouse Jim) Brown and Mary (and spouse Tim) Trummell; and two stepbrothers, Darryl Williams and Mike (and spouse Becky) Williams; 11 grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and his mother.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Epworth Forest Road, North Webster, with the American Legion chaplin officiating. Military services will be performed by the North Webster American Legion Post 253.

Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
