He was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Wabash, to Foster and Eathel Drudge Hoffman. On July 3, 1938, in Akron, he married Genelle Taylor, who survives.
He owned and operated Hoffman Body Shop, Akron, since the early 1950s. He sold the shop and retired in 1982.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karna (and spouse Frank) Earl, Warsaw, and Jacqueline Hoffman, Carmel; and two sons, Larry Hoffman, Akron, and Ronald Hoffman, Sebring, Fla.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
