Earl Byron Hudson, 83, of 257 Salman Drive, Warsaw, went home to be with his Lord at 10:09 p.m. Aug. 24, 2010, in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.

He was born March 9, 1927, in Lindsborg, Kan., to John Milton and Freida Ternstrom Hudson. On Sept. 27, 1958, he married Ruth Bourland, who survives.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and was honorably discharged in 1954. He was a professional engineer, both electrical and mechanical for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America, retiring in Lombard, Ill. He was a resident of Warsaw for the past 11 years, and was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa (and spouse Christian) Goble, Culver; two sons, Lowell (and spouse Beverly) Hudson, Winona Lake, and Lane David (and spouse Donna) Hudson, Des Plaines, Ill.; six grandchildren; and a brother, John M. (and spouse Lorraine) Hudson, Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and a sister.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Ralph Porter officiating. Services will also be at 10 a.m. Monday at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, Ill. Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Ill.

Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, and from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at G.L. Hills Funeral Home.
