VAN WERT, Ohio – E. Max “Snowball” Friesner, 80, Middle Point, Ohio, died at 12:27 p.m. Nov. 16, 2013, in Van Wert County (Ohio) Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1933, in Mentone, to Arlo and Mildred Blue Friesner. He Marcia Long, who survives in Middle Point.
He retired from D&D Trucking, Delphos, Ohio, having been a truck driver for more than 58 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Point. He was an avid Middle Point volunteer firefighter, and had served as assistant fire chief for many years.
Also surviving are three children: Amy (and spouse Richard) Petrick, Canton, Ohio; Jack (and spouse Kim) Friesner, Louisville, Ohio; and Patti (and spouse Brent) Brotherhood, Convoy, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Friesner; a grandson, Timothy Friesner; and three sisters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
