NAPPANEE - Durwin Lee Hochstetler, 39, of 72193 CR 9, Nappanee, died March 8, 2007, at 10:30 p.m. in his residence following a long battle with cancer.
He was born May 8, 1967, in Rugby, N.D., to Merlin and Elsie Hochstedler Hochstetler. On June 15, 1991, in South Bend, he married Nicole Day, who survives.
A graduate of Wolford (N.D.) High School, he attended North Dakota State University. He moved to Nappanee in 1993, and was the former owner of Superior Fencing. He was employed by the Newmar Corp., Nappanee. He attended Nappanee Missionary Church.
Survivors include his parents; two daughters, Alexandra and Marisa Hochstetler, both at home; a son, Ethan Hochstetler, at home; a brother, Derek Hochstetler, Nappanee; a sister, Mrs. Mike (Julie) Albright, Elkhart; and a grandmother, Emma Hochstetler, Orville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by three grandparents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Nappanee Missionary Church with Pastor Norm Reimer officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at and one hour prior to services at the church.
Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is in charge of arrangements.
