Jesse E. Dungan, a former resident of Warsaw, will celebrate his 103rd birthday Wednesday with an open house at The Oaks, 411 N. Wolf Road, Columbia City, at 2:30 p.m. in the dining room.

He was born in 1909, in Huntington, to Verda and Clyde Dungan.

On Feb. 26, 1929, he married Doris Fern Wiley and they celebrated 76 years of marriage in 2005.

He has six children, Robert and James, who are deceased; Dorette Hess, Huntertown; Marilyn (and spouse Don) Ric, Warsaw; Jack (and spouse Wanda) Randall and Michael, all of Danville, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren and one more due shortly.

He was the former office manager at Kraft Foods, Kendallville and Danville, Ill., and retired in 1974 with 42 years of service.[[In-content Ad]]
