Duane W. Ronk, 62, of 774 W. Center St., Warsaw, died at 1:15 p.m. April 20, 2007, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born March 3, 1945, in Warsaw, to Carl and Martha Stout Ronk. On April 18, 1964, he married Bessie Crapson, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he retired as project manager at Sprint in 2005, after 38 years, and was a sexton at Oakwood Cemetery for the city of Warsaw. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was co-owner of Ronk Racing.

Also surviving are a son, Dane (and wife Cindy) Ronk, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Ashley Ronk, Warsaw; and a grandson, Craig Ronk, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kerry Ronk, on Jan. 4, 1987.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
