Drug Tests

Like many other people in this state, I have a job. I work, my employer pays me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order for me to get a paycheck, I am frequently required to pass a random urine test. I have no problem with taking that test. What I do have a problem with is the government distributing tax money taken from my paycheck to people who don't work and who don't have to pass a urine test.
If I have to pass a urine test to work and earn money, from which the government takes taxes to provide welfare checks, shouldn't the people who don't work who receive these welfare checks have to pass a urine test in order to receive the money I have paid in taxes from my earnings? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping people sit on their behinds and do drugs while I work.
Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass urine tests in order to get public assistance checks?
