NORTH MANCHESTER - Dr. Norman L. Clark, 81, of North Manchester, and formerly of 1406 E. Sycamore St., Vincennes, died at 10:45 a.m. Jan. 16, 2008, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Mexico, Ind., to Harry E. and Helen R. Cook Clark. On June 16, 1950, he married Betty J. Guthrie, who survives.

He practiced podiatry in Vincennes from 1951 until retiring in 2001. He graduated from Chester High School in 1944, attended Manchester College and earned a doctorate in podiatry from Chicago College of Podiatry in 1951. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of The Harmony Society and Elks Lodge, all in Vincennes.

Also surviving are a brother, Wayne (and spouse Bonnie) Clark, North Manchester; and a sister, Wilma (and spouse Dean) Whitesel, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by a sister.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peabody Chapel, North Manchester, with Chaplain David Wentroble officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Peabody Chapel.
