SYRACUSE – Dorothy Lucille Rumbles, 95, Syracuse, passed away March 6, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse. She was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Midland, Mich., to Walter and Viola Wagoner Kuhlman. On July 3, 1939, she married Donald J. Rumbles, who preceded her in death. She lived in Ligonier from 1960 to 1980 and also previously lived in Michigan. She retired from Monsanto in 1980 after 16 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Michigan; Moose Lodge, Saginaw, Mich.; as well as attended the North Webster Church of God. She is survived by her two sons, Wayne (and spouse Yvonne) Rumbles, Laguna Beach, Calif., and Gary (and spouse Susan) Rumbles, Green Valley, Ariz.; a daughter, Carol (and spouse Ralph) Stahley, Syracuse; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian Horb, Saginaw. She also was preceded in death by her infant son, David Allen; four sisters, Ruth, Marcella, Gladys and Pauline; and four brothers, Harvey, Bob, Willie and Art Kuhlman. Services will be at noon May 14 at Eastlund Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
