Dorothy L. Kesler, 92, of Warsaw, died at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 31, 2013, in Mason Health Care, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Forest Park, Ill., to William J. and LaVine Ardueser Toerpe. On Feb. 17, 1960, in Mexico, Ind., she married Gerald R. Kesler, who died in November 2005.
She attended chapel services at Mason Health Care, Warsaw. She retired in 1983 after working for United Telephone Company for 23 years. She was president of the Friends of Akron Library, Akron.
Surviving are seven daughters: Bonnie Porter, Laporte; Carol Nahrwold, Las Vegas, Nev.; Laura (and spouse Tom) Bergman, Olympia, Wash.; Kimberly R. (and spouse Pastor Woodrow “Woody”) Burchett, Warsaw; Sharon (and spouse Jim) Justice, Mentone; Karen (and spouse Ronald) Scott, Tippecanoe; Linda (and spouse Donald) Scott, Burket; a son, Gerald (and spouse Margie) Kesler Jr., Phoenix, Ariz; a grandson; a sister, Jean Robinson, Arlington Heights, Ill; and a brother, William Toerpe Jr., Winfield, Ill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Woodrow Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
