Dorothy Elizabeth Hoffer, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 4:06 p.m. Aug. 8, 2015, at Visiting Nursing and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Atwood, to John E. and Virginia J. Sensibaugh Hershberger. On Aug. 13, 1949, in Atwood, she married Frank Devon Hoffer, who preceded her in death May 26, 2015.
She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident. She worked for Cargill Inc., for 15 years and was the assistant bank manager for Etna Bank for 13 years, retiring in 1994.
She was the key holder and date planner for the Atwood Community Center for many years and was involved in the Atwood firehouse functions, class reunions and other community events. She chronicled historical information for Kosciusko County since the 1940’s. She enjoyed reading on her porch swing and looking out over the lake.  
Surviving are: a daughter, Ruth Hoffer, Warsaw; a son, Chad Hoffer, Warsaw; two granddaughters, Kerri and Jan Hoffer, both of Dallas, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Kamaria Maloney. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jon Hoffer.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
There is no visitation planned.
