NORTH MANCHESTER – Doris J. Kling, 81, Liberty Mills, died at 1:04 p.m. Nov. 13, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Wabash, to Albert and Geraldine Sparks Haynes. On Jan. 23, 1954, she married Frederick J. Kling Sr., who died Oct. 31, 1980.
She graduated from Laketon High School. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and attending church. She was a homemaker. She attended Liberty Mills Community Church.
Surviving are two sons, Frederick J. (and spouse Linda) Kling Jr., North Manchester, and John A. Kling, Liberty Mills; two daughters, Joanne (and spouse Roger) Allen and Julie (and spouse Kenneth) Shepherd, all of North Manchester; a sister, Marchetta Rowe, Huntington; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Donald Haynes; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Kling.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Dennis Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
