She was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Wabash County, to Curtis Eldo Cripe and Emma Viola Reiff. On Jan. 1, 1942, she married Walter L. Niccum, who survives.
A homemaker, she graduated from Chester High School in 1941. She was a member of Chester Charmers Home Extension Club, Mallard Camping Club and was a member and former president of the Ladies Aid at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren. She worked three years at P.N. Hirsch, three years at Heckman Bindrey and retired from working in food service at Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, after 24 years. She was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are three sons: Paul D. (and spouse Jo Lynn) and Thomas J. (and spouse Vicki) Niccum, all of North Manchester; and Roger D. (and spouse Diane) Niccum, Warsaw; a brother, Quentin Cripe, San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Gladys Price, Scottsdale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. June 28 at Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren, Liberty Mills, with Pastor Kelly Beutler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
Calling is from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. June 27 at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
