NORTH MANCHESTER – Dora F. Gaston, 87, North Manchester, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Aug. 11, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born June 11, 1928, in Wabash County, to John and Anna Kampen Deckena. On Feb. 22, 1948, she married Arthur A. Gaston, who survives.
She was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed together for 41 years. She graduated from Chester High School in 1946. She was a former member of the Jolly Janes Home Extension Club for 35 years. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester.
Also surviving are: a son, Roger D. (and spouse Carol) Gaston, Warsaw; a daughter, Mary L. (and spouse David) Moore, Warsaw; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Heinz Deckena.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Peabody Chapel, 400 W. 7th St., North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman and the Rev. Sue Babovec officiating. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
Calling is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Peabody Chapel.
