Donald Ray Bartley, 80, of Fort Payne, Ala., and formerly of Claypool, died at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 29, 2012, in  his residence.

He was born March 5, 1932, in Jenkins, Ky., to Ervin C. Bartley and Bertha Tyree Carpenter. On March 19, 1962, he married Julie Ann Miller, who died June 10, 2010.

A Kosciusko County resident for 51 years, he retired from Uniroyal, Warsaw.

Surviving are three sons, Terry (and spouse Sue) Bartley, Larry (and spouse Shelli) Bartley and Jim (and spouse Joyce) Bartley, all of Claypool; a daughter, Brenda (and spouse Rob) Edling, Claypool; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fannie B. Hale, Silver Lake. He was preceded in death by a grandson, two sisters and a brother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Elder Harold Vance and the Rev. Fannie B. Hale. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.

Calling is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
