Donald L. Guy, 78, of Warsaw, died at 6:21 a.m. Oct. 2, 2010, in his residence.

He was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Etna Green, to Orval and Helen Ruth Beck Guy. On 1958, he married Donna Crist, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he worked at the Etna Elevator for 42 years, retiring in April 1997, and was a farmer for many years. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as a second class mechanic aboard the destroyer USS Ulvert M. Moore from 1952-56.

Also surviving are three daughters, Debra (and spouse Dave) Gordon, Convoy, Ohio, and Jacqueline M. Guy and Stephanie A. Faulkner, both of Warsaw; a brother, Seward Guy, Warsaw; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry A. Guy; a daughter, Carla Ann Richard; and a granddaughter, Ariel C. Butcher.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Father Paul Beuter officiating. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery with military rites by members of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126.

Calling is two hours prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
