FORT MYERS, Fla. - Donald H. Downing, 74, died June 4, 2007, in his residence.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio. He married Vickie Jones, who survives.

Living and working in Fort Wayne and Warsaw, he was a sales and designer engineer. He retired to Fort Myers. Fla., in 1996.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clint (Kristi Jo) Dials and Michelle Downing, both of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Rick (Donna Lynn) Zartman, Cocoa, Fla.; two sons, Rodney Downing, Cocoa Beach, and Dr. Shane Downing, Churubusco; two sisters: Mrs. Kenneth (Carol) O'Cull, Ocala, Fla., and Mrs. John (Mary Lou) Mahan, Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, Walter Downing, Lighthouse Point, Fla., and Virgil and Danny Downing, both of Dayton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Calling is from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
