Donald F. Mozdren, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 1:35 p.m. March 31, 2014, in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake.
He was born Feb. 21, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Frances Rezpa Mozdren. On May 9, 1959, in Chicago, he married Sara J. Maryanski, who survives in Warsaw.
He moved to Warsaw from Bolingbrook, Ill., in 1992. He worked in freight company operations for Transcon Freight, retiring in January of 1988. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from 1953 to 1955. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. He was a Gold Circle Member of the VFW and was also a member of the American Legion Post #702, Indianapolis.
Also surviving are four daughters: Deborah Stubbs, Whitestown; Denise (and spouse Joe) Reifsteck, Allen, Texas; Darlene Burkel and Leona (and spouse Robert) Harris, both of Warsaw; five grandchildren: Jordan, Brandon and Lucas Reifsteck, Allen, Texas; and Vicki and Ryan Harris, Warsaw.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126, both of Warsaw.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
