Don E. Jarvis, 82, of 203 W. Catherine St., Milford, died at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 6, 2013, in his residence. He was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Tipton, to Clarence and Carcella Suits Jarvis. He was widowed, A longtime Syracuse-Milford area resident, he retired from Key Bank, Syracuse. He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the Submarine Services, and was a member of North Webster American Legion. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Winegardner, Milford, and Diane Overmeyer, Goshen; two sons, Dale and Dean Jarvis, both of Nashville, Ind.; four grandchildren; and his long-time companion, Darlene Peck. No formal services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in National Cemetery, Marion. Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
