Dolores A. Pittenger, 90, of 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, died at 5:20 p.m. Feb. 18, 2009, in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake.

She was born March 1, 1918, in Warsaw, to Glenn G. and Floe Walters Smith. On May 27, 1943, in Miami Beach, Fla., she married William M. "Bill" Pittenger, who died Sept. 2, 1988.

She retired from Arnolt Corp. in 1954. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She was a 60-year member of O.E.S., Warsaw Chapter, American Legion Auxiliary and Lambda Chi Omega Sorority, and was a member for more than 60 years of Warsaw Women's Bowling Association, and the Original Hall of Fame Women's Bowling Association. She started the Delores A. Pittenger Physical Education Scholarship Fund.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor David Heim officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is one hour prior to services at the funeral chapel.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is assisting the family with arrangements.
