Katheryn Doherty and Timothy Thirkettle were married April 5, 2008, at Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, Fort Wayne, with the Rev. William Ford III, Saugus, Calif., officiating. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sherry Doherty, Syracuse; the groom's parents are Sheryll and William Thirkettle, Arleta Calif.

Maid of honor was Anita Doherty, sister of the bride, Dyersburg Tenn. Junior bridesmaid was Jessica Thirkettle, daughter of groom, Youngsville, N.C.

Best man was Peter Marle, Salida, Colo. Usher was Joe Doherty, Syracuse. Ring bearer was Stephanie Thirkettle, daughter of the groom, Youngsville, N.C.

A reception was held at Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, Fort Wayne.

The bride is a fifth-grade math and science teacher at Episcopal Day School, Augusta, Ga. She is a 2002 graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2006.

The groom is a full-time student at College of the Canyons, Valencia, Calif., and a member of the California National Guard. He is a 1996 graduate of James Monroe High School, North Hills, Calif., and is a 10-year veteran of the United States Air Force.

After a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., the couple reside in Los Angeles, Calif.[[In-content Ad]]
