Divorce & Bowling

I want to say something about divorce. I went through one 3-1/2 years ago. It’s still a deep wound in my heart. I personally would rather lose a spouse to death than in a divorce. That’s a fact, believe you me.
I hear different people talk about a girlfriend or boyfriend they have and yet are married. I’m sorry to inform you but in the laws of God you’re committing adultery. Read the book Mark Chapter 10, it will tell you all about it.
For many of you I will say this: Be faithful to your spouse. Work on your differences. Step back and walk away (the one I really failed on.) If you have children, realize it hurts them, too. It affects them the rest of their lives. Remember it is a devastating blow to both people and there are no winners.
As I write this I want it to be known I had no affairs and did nothing unlawful. I did, however, fail on my differences of opinion and argumentative to get my point across.
I just hate to hear of people going through a divorce. I know there’s a lot of pressure and stress. But always try to work through it. There’s always hope. Divorce hurts.
Also, I just want to thank people and the Times-Union for the nice article put in the paper for bowling.
So many people I know and many I don’t have made compliments that have made me feel special. I don’t know that I deserve that.
Shooting an 879 series is very special, but I want the recognition to go toward my family, teammates and the sportsman league. It truly is a special night that I won’t forget. The support from the leagues, The Bowling Alley establishment, my teammates is and was special. I also would like to thank Joe Thallemer for the card he sent me, and calls from others to congratulate me. It means a lot. Thank you and God bless.
