Diana Lackey, 76, Warsaw, passed away at 10:25 a.m. May 5, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born July 4, 1937, at home in Kosciusko County to Willard D and Orpha Keck Hawley.
She graduated from Nappanee High School in 1955. She loved the sport of bowling and was a member of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church. She retired from United Telephone Service as a telephone operator.
Surviving are a son, Brad (and spouse Angel) Hamilton, Warsaw; two daughters, Cathy (and spouse David) Rapp and Dawn (and spouse Roger) Ransbottom, all of Warsaw; two sisters, Betty (and spouse Ed) Krause, Kokomo, and Mary (and spouse Jerry) Lumadue, Michigan; two brothers, Patrick (and spouse Debra) Hawley, North Carolina, and John (and spouse Barbara) Hawley, Florida; 12 grandchildren: Chrissy, Cheyenne, Tiffany, Karrin, David, Tyvan, Bobby, Daren, Alan, Brycelyn, Mackenzie and Maxwell; five great-grandchildren: Ezra, Kylie, Presley, Canton and Colt; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a son, Robert L. Lackey.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Wanda Carter officiating. Burial is in Union-Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
