Wayne and Colleen Derr, Fishers, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jerica Nichole Derr, Fishers, to Benjamin Hays Brodhead, Warsaw. He is the son of Dan and Becky Brodhead, Warsaw.

The bride-to-be is employed by Community Health Network, Indianapolis. She is a 2003 graduate of Westfield High School and a 2007 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, earning a bachelor's degree in biology. She plans to graduate from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a master's degree in biology. In the fall, she plans to attend Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pa., where she will be enrolled in the physician's assistant master's degree program.

The groom-elect is employed by Pittsburgh Logistics Systems Inc., Pittsburgh. He is a 2004 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, and will earn a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008.
