SYRACUSE - Deloris E. Weyler-Gaston, 76, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of North Webster, died at 11:21 p.m. April 23, 2008, in Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne.

She was born Aug. 20, 1931, in Huntington County, to Jesse S. and Elsie Lehman Lahr. In 1950, she married John W. Weyler, who died in 1997. On Sept. 30, 2001, she married Lawrence "Lotsie" Wayne Gaston, who survives.

Moving to North Webster from Fort Wayne in 1979, she was the former owner of Grassy Creek Restaurant between Saw Mill and Tippecanoe lakes. She was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church, Hoosier Women's Club, Tippy Home Economics Club, United Methodist Women's Society and Red Hat Society.

Also surviving are a daughter, Diana Fisher, Fort Wayne; a son, Mark A. Weyler, Muncie; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Beverly Wallace, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a stepson, Lawrence (and spouse Susan) Gaston Jr., Fishers; three step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Scott Mann officiating. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Calling is two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
