She was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Miami County, to Hugh and Ruth Boswell. On June 6, 1954, in Chili, she married Edsel Robison, her husband of 50 years, who died June 13, 2004.
She graduated from Chili High School in 1950, Manchester College in 1954 and Ball State University in 1968.
She retired from North Miami School Corp. as a first-grade teacher after 28 years of service. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and International Teaching Society. She was a member of Mexico Church of the Brethren. She loved hummingbirds and bird-watching, reading and scrap-booking. She was a pink lady at Dukes Hospital. She loved serving the Lord. She was very active in her church, church library and her card ministry.
She and Edsel raised three sons who survive: Bryan (and spouse Penny) Robison, Warsaw; Douglas (and spouse Amy) Robison, Peru; and Roger (and spouse Sara Kay) Robison, Mexico. Also surviving are her brother, Robert (and spouse Marilyn) Boswell, Chili; a sister-in-law, Violet (and spouse Robert) Kirtlan, Roann; and a brother-in-law, Floyd (and spouse Joyce) Robison, Wabash; five grandchildren in whom she took special delight: Brooke (and spouse Jeremy) Clawson, Pittsboro; Lindsay Robison, Avon; Cody (and spouse Milly) Robison, Meridian, Miss.; Seth Robison, Oak Creek, Colo.; Erica Danielle (and spouse Martin Gonzalez) Humitz, Peru; five step-grandchildren: Nathaniel (and spouse Kim) Fisher, Garner, N.C.; Gabrielle (and spouse Bryan) Turner, Cary, N.C.; Benjamin Fisher, Fayetteville, N.C.; Jeremiah (and spouse heather) Fisher, Ashville, N.C.; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family thanks the friends and family who visited, sent cards and gave words of encouragement to her during her illness. Also, a special thanks goes to Sharon Wilkinson for spending countless hours helping her with her card ministry and other activities.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., Peru, with Pastor George Hapner officiating. Burial is in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
