William and Cheri Deiser, Anderson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda J. Deiser, Chesterfield, to Kimm D. Johnston, Chesterfield. His parents are Beverly J. Johnston, Etna Green, and the late DeVor L. Johnston.

The bride-to-be is an office supervisor at East Central Indiana First Steps, Muncie. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1998, and earned a degree in social work from Ball State University in 2003.

The groom-elect is an assistant manager at Tire Barn Warehouse, Muncie. In 1996, he graduated from Triton High School, Bourbon, and earned a degree in political science from Ball State University in 2003.

The couple plan a Sept. 26 wedding.
