I just finished reading Janet Collins' letter published Dec. 30. I want to know the exact verbiage, Janet, that you refer to in the Constitution that declares a black person to be two-thirds of a human being. I mean the exact words. You see, I have a complete copy in my hand right now and that statement is not in my copy.

We are starting into Obama's second year and he has put us further in debt than any other sitting president, yet you just keep your Bush bashing going. Bill Clinton is the president that gave your jobs to China. China got him elected and last I looked, he's a liberal. 9/11 wouldn't have happened if he would have taken Osama when he was offered to us, but he was skirt chasing at the time.

Yes, you do have something against business making a profit. Yes, we can have both a democratic society and wealthy folks in this country. Even what you call poor folks are wealthy in the eyes of most of the world. Many many wealthy companies (businesses) invest in your future and mine.

Since you seem to know all about oil companies, I assume you have been lucky enough to have worked for one. You seem to have first-hand knowledge of who profits and who doesn't.

Ms. Janet has a chip on her shoulder. Her "knickers are in a knot" because she can't sit back while big government cares for her every need.

Start pulling yourself up by your boot-straps and work to better yourself. Throw away the "blame card." God helps those who help themselves. Pull yourself together, girl, and quit feeling sorry for yourself. Others are in the same boat, but many have faith and better themselves.

Read Jeff Sanders letter on the 31st. He trashed Gary Eppenbaugh for "name calling," but he called Gary low names a total of nine times in one letter. Ignorance is blaming Bush and the GOP for everything in life that goes wrong. Eight years of "Tricky Willie" got the ball rolling. No party is perfect, but in one year we are drowning in debt (Obama), our security from terrors is a joke and the world is laughing at Obama who bows and grovels to world leaders in the name of political correctness. A party named the "Socialist Liberal Party" (Democrats in Congress) who make deals to get votes, hides behind closed doors and passes bills in the dead of night and you call the kettle black.

Step back and take a deep breath, Mr. Sanders. If you don't like what patriots write, don't read the letters. We all have as much right as you do, to respond to anything that's printed. No one is stalking anyone. If the Times-Union feels a letter should not be printed, they won't print it. I trust this paper, they print both sides of the issues.

It's time you grow up. Read the U.S. Constitution, Amendments and the documents that supported the establishment of our Constitution, then come back to this paper and tell us this administration is anything but Socialists and Communists. I'm thinking, God help us all.
