Debt Club Fliers Should Be Ignored
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
If a flier arrives at your home from Debt Payment Club, also known as Debt Management Club, throw it away.
Debt Payment Club promises to help pay off student and business loans, mortgages, liens and other bills easier and in less time. Claiming to be from a non-profit corporation, the flier asks for an address, phone number and a copy of any bill.
But according to the Better Business Bureau of Northeast Indiana, people who have sent in the information have said no debts were ever paid and no services were ever provided. The Better Business Bureau rates the club as "unsatisfactory" and says the club's claims are deceptive and misleading.
In fact, the club requires everyone interested in their services to pay a fee and sign up at least three other people.
The Better Business Bureau can be contacted at 800-552-4631. [[In-content Ad]]
