SYRACUSE - Dean Aldan Ryan, 68, of Syracuse, died at 6:05 p.m. July 27, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.

He was born June 9, 1939, in Sturgis, Mich., to Robert and Alberta Anderson Ryan. On Aug. 25, 1989, he married Beverly Larson, who survives.

An area residence since the early 1960s, he retired from Zimmer Inc. in 1995, after 23 years of service, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Deana) Pancake, North Webster, and Mrs. Rick (Shelly) Bowling, Warsaw; a son, Randy (and wife Annette) Larson, Warsaw; a stepson, Brian (and wife Barbara) Larson, Milford; six grandchildren, Courtney and Holly Bowling, James and Amanda Pancake and Andrea and Braxton Larson; a step-grandson, Casey Larson; and a brother, Dennis (and wife Shirley) Ryan, Mongo.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Craig Fritchley of Syracuse United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
