David L. Baker, 75, of Warsaw, went to live with the Lord at 5:25 p.m. Feb. 23, 2011, in his residence.
He was born June 18, 1935, in Marion, to Lewis David and Gladys Robinson Baker. On March 27, 1982, in LaCrosse, Wis., he married Sharon L. Severson, who survives.
Living in Warsaw since 1984, he retired in 2000 after working in the farming equipment and auto sales business. He was a member of Warsaw Community Church. He greatly enjoyed the closeness of his family and friends and was always more fond of giving than receiving.
Also surviving are two sons, Tim (and spouse Krista) Baker and Tony (and spouse Shanna) Baker, all of Warsaw; three daughters: Tina (and spouse Tim) Sullivan, Denver, Colo.; Angie (and spouse Mike) Miller, Fort Wayne; and Jaimie (and spouse Justin) Mock, North Webster; a brother, Steff (and spouse Ginny) Baker, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kerlin, who died November 1972.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Dennis Wilson of Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
