ROCHESTER - Daniel "Danny" Wonders, 75, of 1711 Mitchell Drive, Rochester, died at 8:15 a.m. March 25, 2007, in his residence.

He was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Indianapolis, to Alvin Charles and Mary L. Campbell Wonders. On Feb. 1, 1952, in Indianapolis, he married Lois Smith, who survives.

Moving to Rochester from Indianapolis 37 years ago, he was an Indianapolis Tech High School graduate. He worked at Lake Central Airlines, Indianapolis, and retired from Fulton County Aviation, Rochester. He was a charter member of Lake Manitou Tiger Club and a member of Moose Lodge 1107, Elks Lodge 2120 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 852, all in Rochester. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed time spent in his houseboat and all aspects of boating. He was very talented with all of the remodeling projects he did. Most of all, he cherished time with his grandchildren.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Lori) Roberts, Rochester, and Mrs. Mark (Nancy) Ramsey, Akron; a son, Steven R. Wonders, Canaan, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Kiel and Nic Williams, Daniel and Adam Ramsey and Noah Roberts; three sisters: Charlotte "Butch" Miles, Coatsville; Mrs. Rob (Mary "Maggie") Johnson, Omar, W.Va., and Nancy Ullery, Monrovia; and son-in-law, Joe (and wife Lynn) Williams, Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Williams, who died June 12, 2003; and a brother, Robert Wonders, who died in October 2006.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials to Hope Hospice of Fulton County, through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation or to United Ministries.
