Want to workout like a rock star?
You don’t have to move to Los Angeles, Miami or New York to get your groove on – just step into Dance Trance Warsaw.
Dance Trance tips the fitness scales by incorporating current dance moves with aerobic exercise, to create a fitness class.
Dance Trance Warsaw is offering six free community classes at Debra Collier’s School of Dance during May to kick-off the program.
Students seek out Dance Trance because of the extremes in the program. Unlike traditional dance classes, in Dance Trance there are no rules. It combines music with choreography. You will never get hung up in just one music genre. You get a little bit of everything – jazz, funk, hip-hop, pop and even hard-core rock ’n’ roll … it’s all a part of the experience. Dance Trance introduces new routines throughout each month, so each class is new.
Dance experience is not required to attend the DT classes because Dance Trance is a fitness class. Students may vary in ability, background, age and gender, but once the music starts, they’re equals in their quest to sweat, shed some pounds, tone and shape and shake their stuff.
The regular class schedule begins June 2, and the classes will be offered four times per week, giving students an opportunity to learn new moves and develop camaraderie with their fellow students.
Jay Handline, a nationally acclaimed Jazz-Funk fusion choreographer, first created this cardio/dance program in Birmingham, Ala., after spending years as a fitness instructor. Handline says he just got tired of the same old thing and eventually wanted something more. Now his dance fitness program has spread nationwide. Dance Trance Jacksonville is the home studio, and there are more than 50 other studios throughout the country.
Join in May at Debra Collier’s School of Dance for free classes. When the regular class schedule begins June 2, there are no contracts or memberships required.  You can try out the program and pay as you go for a rate of $10 per class. Discounts are available for all access packages and 12 class cards.
