BOURBON – D. Anne Pershing, 70, Bourbon, passed away at 3:17  p.m. Dec. 1, 2015, in Bremen Community Hospital.
She was born June 9, 1945, in Bremen, to Max Keith and Laura Bonita Shaffer Pershing.
She has been a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Bourbon High School in 1963. She was retired from both United Parcel Service as an auditor and from Reynolds Metals where she worked in the factory. She was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary; she enjoyed computer games, reading, working puzzles, watching her soap operas and she enjoyed her family, who will greatly miss her.
Surviving are two daughters, Jacque Hirshey, Syracuse, and Beth Carey, Bourbon; a son, Allen Carey, Warsaw; two sisters, Virginia Lynch, Bremen, and Sally K. (and spouse Ted) Heisler, Etna Green; a brother, Robert Pershing, Bourbon; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Austin.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, with Pastor Neil Wonnacott, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bremen, officiating. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bourbon.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
