Cynthia Lu Hite, 65, of 804 Lydia Drive, Warsaw, died at 9:30 p.m. May 9, 2009, in her residence.

She was born July 13, 1943, in Harvey, Ill., to Charles L. and Phyllis S. Leeding Rothe. On Sept. 23, 1977, she married David L. Hite, who died in September 2001.

Living in Kosciusko County for the past 40 years, she retired as an administrative assistant from Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are a son, David (and spouse Rachel) Hite, Warsaw; two daughters, Susaine (and spouse Michael) Miller, South Whitley, and Carolyn Babendrager, Warsaw; her mother, Phyllis S. Rothe, Warsaw; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A private graveside service will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Michael Miller officiating.

No calling is planned.

Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
