Cynthia June “Cindy” Whitaker, 60, of Warsaw, died at 5:05 p.m. Sept. 28, 2013, in her residence.
She was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Warsaw, to Norman and Wanda Babcock Brown. On June 27, 1987, in Warsaw, she married Michael Whitaker, who survives in Warsaw.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, she graduated in 1971 from Warsaw Community High School. She was a bus driver for the pat six years for Warsaw Community Schools. She attended Dutchtown Brethren Church, Warsaw.
Also surviving are her father, Norman Brown, Warsaw; a son, Sean (and spouse Mary Alice) Lackey, Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Melody (and spouse Steven) Farmer, and Jennifer Whitaker, all of Warsaw; two stepsons, Adam (and spouse Heather) Whitaker, Syracuse, and Jason Whitaker, North Webster; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three brothers: Mike (and spouse Cheryl) Brown, and Tim (and spouse Cindy) Brown, both of Warsaw; and Pat (and Jolinda) Brown, Colorado Springs, Colo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Brown, on Feb. 25, 2009.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Jack Worth, Dutchtown Brethren Church, officiating.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
