Curtis E. Ousley, 83, of Pierceton,  passed away at 7:22 p.m. April 13, 2012, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Floyd County, Ky., to Jim and Cynthia Bradley Ousley. On March 29, 1952, in Prestonsburg, Ky., he married Alice M. Pitts, who died Oct. 31, 2007.

He lived in Kosciusko County since 1962. He formerly worked as a coal miner and by Dana Corp., Syracuse, from 1966-91. He also was self-employed on the family farm.

Surviving are two sons, Mitchell (and spouse Merla) Ousley, Warsaw, and Wendell (and spouse Marg) Ousley, Pierceton; a daughter, Rita (and spouse Ken) Caudill, Pierceton; two brothers, Manis and Ashland Ousley, both of Prestonsburg, Ky.; seven grandchildren: Joshua: Chad, Natalie and Justin Ousley; Daisy (and spouse Jason) Hollon; Alice Marie (and spouse Malachi) Robinson; and Stephen Caudill; a step-grandson, Brett McPeak; and four great-grandchildren,  Maggie and Carson Hollon and Bradley and Miranda Ousley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy, and two sisters, Lurannie and Nancy.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Northern Little Dove Church, Sidney, officiated by ministers of the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
