The bride-to-be is a nurse's assistant at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. She graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, in 2004, and Indiana State University.

The groom-elect is a lighting designer at Ball State University, Muncie. He graduated from Greenwood Community High School in 1995, and Ball State University.

The couple plan a Dec. 11, 2010, wedding.
