The bride-to-be is a product manager at John Morrell & Company, Souix Falls. She is a 2000 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and earned a bachelor's degree in animal science from Purdue University, West Lafayette, in 2004.

The groom-elect is a show cattle manager at LeGrand Angus & Hereford Ranch, Salem, S.D. He is a 1995 graduate of West Central South Dakota High School, Hartford, S.D.
