CR 100E

I see the specter of closing off (or so-called rerouting) of CR 100E has raised its ugly head once more.
Thanks to Tony Miller staying on top of what is transpiring and spending his own money to make the general public aware since the other watch dogs of our community seem to be dropping the ball as usual.
I had already publicized my opposition to this project in my previous letters to the editor and feel I have exhausted the amount of new information and resources that I can bring forward in doing so. At this point all I have to offer is hyperbole and rhetoric.
The newly appointed one will soon pay fealty to his masters by using the position of his office in their favor. Once again, an elected official will take the considerations of an extremely small group of wealthy and privileged individuals over the well being of the people as a whole. In the American political scene not only have we come to expect it, we have become conditioned to it. The politicians, wealthy and powerful have come to depend upon us to once again be disappointed and made to feel helpless so that we just throw our hands up in disgust and give up completely.
Could I have made it to a meeting in time to voice my opposition, no not with a one-day notice? Such is the mechanism of City Hall, sneaky not well-advertised meetings, last-minute deals, favoritism and good ol’ boy syndrome. Nothing new here. Business as usual. Sad, isn’t it?
