County Commissioners Make Appointments For 2010

The Kosciusko County Commissioners approved several appointments for 2010 during their final meeting of 2009 Tuesday morning.

The following people were appointed by the commissioners to various roles and boards:

Area Plan Director - Dan Richard

Area Plan Board - Bob Conley

Board of Health - Larry Coplen

Board of Health - Medical Director Dr. William Remington[[In-content Ad]]Board of Zoning Appeals - Vic Virgil and Charlie Haffner

County Administrator - Ron Robinson

County Attorney - Mike Miner

Drainage Board - Ron Truex and Don Goon

Economic Development - Wes Stouder

GIS - Bill Holder

Homeland Security/LEP - Ed Rock

KDI - Ron Truex

Public Defenders Board - John Hall, Alan Alderfer and Steve Harris

St. Joe River Basin - John Roberts

System Administrator - Bob Momeyer

Veterans Officer - Rich Maron

Wage Committee - Brad Jackson

Weights and Measures - Larry Marner

Alcohol Beverage Commission - Gordon Vanator

Arrowhead RC and D - Stanley Moore

Redevelopment Commission - Max Courtney, Bruce Woodward and Henry DeJulia

CVB Commission - Mike Stetzel

County Attorney Mike Miner told the commissioners he recently attended a state economic development conference.

County Administrator Robinson told the board he would look to sell old computer equipment that is on hand and if it didn't sell he would dispose of it.

Cynthia Thornburgh was approved for a four-year term on the Syracuse-Turkey Creek Library Board.

County Highway's Dennis Pletcher said the sale of old equipment netted his department $1,800.

Pletcher asked for and was approved to accept all but one of the annual bids. The lowest bid he didn't accept was one for bridge work. According to Pletcher the winning bid didn't meet the specifications that were asked for.

The board also approved ordinance amendments brought forth by the area plan commission.

The commissioners will next meet Jan. 5 at 9 a.m.
