Cougars Come From Behind For 2nd Victory

SOUTH BEND – Josh McDaniel led visiting Lakeland Christian with 18 points, including eight in the decisive fourth quarter, in the Cougars’ 58-55, come-from-behind win over South Bend Career Academy Thursday night.
Carter Twombly had 14 points and Connor Blum added 11 for Lakeland Christian.
The Cougars were down 33-25 at halftime, but trimmed the deficit to one by the end of the third quarter. They outscored the Cobras 16-12 over the final eight minutes to secure the win.
Now 2-18, Lakeland Christian will return to St. Joseph County Tuesday night to take on South Bend Community Baptist School.
