Corporate dodgeball is back, and this time with a new halftime show.

The annual fundraiser from the Bowen Center is Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakeview Middle School gym.]

The cost to get in is $2.

All proceeds go to the United Way.

Kids can get in on the dodgeball action this year.

The halftime show will be a kids versus mascots format, with kids being able to take on local mascots as well as Indianapolis Colts mascot Blue.

The cost to enter a child is $5.

Kids also will have a chance to meet the mascots and have their picture taken with them.

If kids just want to check out the action though, those under 10 get in free.

Once again there will be awards handed to the team with the best outfits. There will also be a "Big Hit" award.

107.3 WRSW and Willie 103.5 will be doing live remotes from the event.

"One of the things the Bowen Center likes to do is bring stress relief and family entertainment to the community. Dodgeball has been a great community event with the United Way," said Tim Nussbaum, corporate services director at the Bowen Center.

"Bowen Center was a pacesetter six years ago for United Way, and we wanted to do something outside the box. The minds that were at the table that day came up with and could relate to a good old-fashioned dodgeball game. And it just built from there," said Nussbaum.[[In-content Ad]]
