Coroner IDs Female Victim of Milford Fire

According to a press release from Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson, the female victim in the Feb. 13 fire at Medina’s Body Repair Shop has been identified as Annalu Nunez of Milford. Nunez was found on the second floor of the structure and it was determined she died of smoke inhalation.
The male victim – found on the first floor of the structure – is presumed to be Jose Medina, also of Milford. Medical examiners of the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center determined he also died of smoke inhalation. At this time, authorities are continuing efforts to positively identify the male victim. Results of DNA testing are still pending.
The cause and orgin of the fire is still under the joint investigation of the Kociusko County Coroner’s Office, the Fire Investigation Team of Kosciusko County, Milford Police Department, Milford Fire Department and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.
