NORTH MANCHESTER – Cora Lee Dingess, 85, of North Manchester, died Dec. 4, 2011, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born Jan. 21, 1926, in Mudfork, W.Va., to Edward and Christean Tomblin Dalton. On April 3, 1942, she married Ray Dingess, who died Sept. 15, 1995.

Before moving to North Manchester, she was a housekeeper in the Logan, W.Va. area. She retired from United Technologies, North Manchester, after 20 years of service.

Surviving are three sons, Wallace Dingess, Servia,  and Jackie (and spouse Tana) Dingess and Oscar (and spouse Kathy) Dingess, all of North Manchester; seven daughters: Christean Calloway and Carolyn (and spouse Randy) France, all of North Manchester; Madeline Shanklin and Mildred (and spouse Randy) Eckman, all of Wabash; Delores Horne, Laketon; Virgie (and spouse Jake) Shepherd, Servia; and Pamela (and spouse Timmy) Craft, Huntington; 38 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, six brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.

Calling is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
